Support After Surgery
Support After Weight Loss Surgery
At Carolina Surgical we want to partner with you for life in your weight loss journey. That is why we are so committed to our aftercare programs. We offer lifelong followup, support groups, email updates to bariatric surgery, Facebook posts, and a comprehensive Back on Track program.
Monthly Support Group
Every month we offer a bariatric support group meeting at our Randolph Rd – Charlotte office. Nutritionist, Susan Richards, runs the meeting and it has been a huge hit. Anyone with an interest in bariatric surgery is invited, whether a patient of Carolina Surgical or another practice. Family and friends are also welcome. See our Support Groups Calendar for times.
Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA)
We proudly encourage our patients to consider participating in FA. This non-profit organization is independent of Carolina Surgical, but many of our patients have benefited from it. Based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, the program is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience and mutual support, are recovering from the disease of food addiction. See our Support Groups Calendar for meeting locations and times.
