What is my BMI?

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a calculated number that health providers use to determine whether a person’s weight is appropriate for his or her height. For example, a 6 foot man who is 180 pounds is at a healthy weight. But a 5 foot woman who also weighs 180 pounds is severely obese because that is too much weight for her height.
